This support item enables a participant to successfully obtain or retain employment in the open or supported labour market. This support can be delivered to any working age participant with an employment goal. This may include supports to:
•
supplement work experience available through the school system
•
obtain part time work whilst finishing secondary education
•
transition from school into further education or training
•
explore what work means(discovery)
•
build essential foundation skills for work
•
manage complex barriers to obtaining and sustaining employment
•
implement specialised job customisation/job carving
•
obtain alternative employment following onset or exacerbation of disability
•
assist a person to change jobs
•
develop a career plan
•
obtain employment on completion of a qualification
•
transition from a supported employment service (previously known as an Australian Disability Enterprise (ADE)) to open employment
•
successfully engage with a Disability Employment Service (DES) provider or other employment service to secure employment and arrange ongoing support on the job if necessary.

Biography

A Career Coach and Business Coach with extensive corporate and commercial experience in supporting people to reach their potential, obtain their career goals and achieve their business objectives. With a background in supporting HR, Organisational Development, Finance, Operations, Project Management teams I have a broad knowledge and expertise across the public and private sectors. Further 8 years work experience providing C-Level executive support to boards, committees, and over 60 Executive Directors.

I have over 7 years’ experience in utilising a holistic person-centred approach to coaching and mentoring, I am passionate about inspiring my clients to unlock barriers and bring out their best, while changing careers, and navigating major transitions in life.

My experience and enthusiasm for coaching, counselling, mentoring, and training is complimented by my commitment to ongoing learning, self-development, and growth. Leveraging my Economics degree and background in finance I am a specialist in training business owners to understand and apply sound principles to create and manage their financial goals, strategy, profit and loss, and cashflow forecasting. People and Culture are my passion and I’m deeply motivated to make a difference and help individuals, teams and businesses succeed. I am compassionate and have a genuine interest in employee well-being, coaching, mentoring, and supporting people, to reach best outcomes for themselves and the company. I have strong stakeholder engagement skills and a natural ability to create rapport and build relationships easily.
